1. McAdoo’s Seafood Company

Inside the McAdoo’s Seafood Company

If you’re craving fresh seafood with a Texas twist, McAdoo’s Seafood Company is a must. Housed in the beautifully restored 1915 New Braunfels post office, this elegant spot serves up oysters, shrimp, and fish dishes that highlight the Gulf Coast’s finest catches. McAdoo’s is indeed one of the best restaurants in downtown New Braunfels, with their charming patio being the perfect place to enjoy an upscale meal in the heart of New Braunfels. Wondering where to eat in New Braunfels for seafood? McAdoo’s is the answer.

Kelsey’s Tip: My personal favorite is the seafood fondue- it may clog your arteries but butter, cream, cheese and seafood never tasted so good! I love getting this on my birthday with a slice of their insanely good key lime pie!

2. Huisache Grill

For a cozy yet refined dining experience, head over to Huisache Grill. This local favorite is one of Hank’s and my favorite date night spots. They offer a diverse menu of New American cuisine, with everything from juicy steaks to flavorful salads and pasta dishes. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the art is always on point and changing. As one of the best restaurants in downtown New Braunfels, it is perfect for a romantic night out.

Fun fact: I worked at Huisache as a hostess in high school and ate their chicken tortilla soup and rolls nearly every day (for free!) and I still haven’t tired of their food.

Kelsey’s Tip: The Grilled Quail with Jalapeño Bacon Glaze is always a hit but honestly, everything on the menu is amazing!
